Vaxtım — Privacy Policy

Vaxtım is a free, ad-free Android prayer times application. This page describes how the app handles user data.

1. Data collection

Vaxtım does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server. There is no analytics, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, no tracking.

The app works fully offline. Prayer times are computed on-device using the open source adhan_dart library; no network call is made for prayer calculations.

2. Data stored on your device

The following data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:

Auto-backup to Google Drive is disabled (android:allowBackup="false"). Uninstalling the app removes all data.

3. Permissions

Permission Purpose
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION Optional — used for automatic city detection. You can pick a city manually instead.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS Used to display prayer time and reminder notifications.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM Used to fire prayer notifications at the exact time. If denied, the app falls back to inexact scheduling.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Used to reschedule prayer notifications after a device restart.
VIBRATE Used by the tasbih counter for tactile feedback.
WAKE_LOCK / FOREGROUND_SERVICE Used by the location service while detecting city (very brief, foreground only).

Vaxtım does not request INTERNET permission in the production build.

4. Third-party services

None. Vaxtım does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking service.

5. Children

Vaxtım does not target children under 13 specifically and does not knowingly collect any data from any user.

6. Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
